Rental Inspection
Blue Crab Inspections can conduct Baltimore City rental inspections, a requirement for Property managers to obtain and renew a Baltimore City rental license. Baltimore City requires that all rental properties be inspected every three years by a licensed home inspector. Rental inspections may also require lead testing.
About Our Rental Inspections
The process is quite simple and usually takes about 45 minutes per unit. Reports will be emailed within 24 hours, if not, the same day. As a matter of convenience, owners, landlords, or property managers are not required to be at the inspection as long as proper access has been coordinated with the tenant or, if vacant, there is a lockbox in place.
We will email you a copy of the Baltimore City rental inspection form in advance so you are aware of exactly what the city requires and what will be inspected. We encourage clients to understand the requirements in advance to avoid lost time and potential additional costs.
