Meet Our Team

Not all home inspectors are created equal. We are proud to say that not only does our team meet and surpass the state-required continuing education credits, we also receive customer service, diversity, equity, and inclusion training as well. It is our way of guaranteeing that our clients receive the highest quality of inspection and education they deserve.

Greg

Greg Baldwin

Radon Technician

As one of a select few radon technicians in Maryland, Greg’s daily job consists of picking up, installing, performing, and transporting radon tests and equipment. And although he spends a lot of time on the road—a task that some of us would dislike—Greg sees this as his favorite part of the job. Moreover, he enjoys the weekly team meetings where he gets to see everyone on the Blue Crab team come together and communicate.
Howard

Howard Alperstein

Inspector

Howard brings years of home maintenance and repair to his home inspection career. Before joining Blue Crab, Howard had an extensive career in business management, which has enabled him to excel in personal relationships and communication skills. He also makes it a mission to educate homebuyers, not simply tell them information. When not hard at work inspecting, Howard can be found out hunting, training his chocolate Labrador retriever, or spending time with his two kids and wife. An Anne Arundel County resident, Howard dreams of having his own hunting and fishing guide service.
John

John Foley

Operations Director

John is a certified home inspector who has been inspecting houses for over 10 years with thousands of inspections under his belt. His passion for homes comes from over a decade of construction experience—from managing jobsites to building additions. While his current role generally keeps him away from the job sites these days, he enjoys seeing the younger and newer generation of inspectors grow and progress in the field, particularly those with Blue Crab. An avid outdoorsman, John enjoys spending time on the water or in the mountains with family and friends. And, always by his side, is his partner in crime, Coors, a silver Labrador retriever.
Luke

Luke Bunting

Team Lead

Luke is an InterNACHI CPI Inspector, who has certifications in lead paint, residential thermography, and sewer line scanning. Not only will you see Luke out in the field at inspections, he is also a Team Lead. Luke is responsible for the recruitment and development of his team members, focusing on technical training, developing systems and processes, as well as overall team development. Luke is a Pennsylvania native, where he attended Lebanon Valley College and was selected for membership in the National Society of Leadership and Success. He enjoys his job because it gives him the opportunity to work with people from diverse professional and economic backgrounds. In his free time, Luke likes to hike, kayak and work out. His bucket list includes traveling throughout Europe, visiting Italy, Greece, Croatia, France and Germany.
Randy

Randy Cottrell

Growth Director

A second-generation home inspector, Randy has been helping homeowners and home buyers achieve their dreams for over 20 years. In addition to being an ASHI Certified Inspector and an InterNACHI Master Inspector, Randy also serves as the Vice President of the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS and is the current chair of the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS RPAC/political affairs committee as well as serving on Maryland REALTORS Finance and Communications committees. He is a proud member of the 2021 graduating class of the Maryland Leadership Academy and was named Affiliate of the Year by the Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS in 2020. A resident of Joppa, Randy likes to read crime fiction and Star Wars books, kayak, and fish. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Christina, and two daughters, Reagan and Rowan, by hiking, traveling and relaxing with a good movie.
Rick

Rick Willnecker

Client Care Coordinator

Rick has been a client care coordinator with Blue Crab Inspections for over 3 years now. In this role, Rick truly enjoys interacting with the diversity of our clients and referral partners. He finds his job very rewarding as he is always pushing himself out of his comfort zone. He is constantly adapting to and work within a fast-paced and competitive environment, ensuring that the clients’ needs are continuously met. When he was younger, Rick had dreams of becoming a video game designer or programmer. And while he’s not there quite yet, he does build his own computers in his spare time.
Scott

Scott Reed

Inspector

One of the newest members of the Blue Crab team, Scott has “farmer blood” and, until recently, has spent most of his life as a farmer in Pennsylvania. However, Scott has already successfully transitioned and utilized his trades and skills learned over the last 18 years into his new role as a home inspector. Now a Maryland resident, Scott enjoys meeting new people and browsing the newest products at Harbor Freight Tools.

Lior Fagan

Inspector

A man of many talents, Lior was born in Rishon Le’Zion, Israel and moved to Maryland with his family when he was young. A graduate of Towson University, Lior was awarded a departmental achievement award in recognition of his undergraduate honors thesis in psychology. Growing up, he learned how to read and play music as a pastime. Initially, he started with the violin and guitar; he now plays the drums, bass guitar and taught himself to play piano. Lior finds inspecting homes very appealing because no two homes are the same; they each tell a different story. Still on his bucket list is to travel and see the Scandinavian countries, learn to play the Lute, and see the Northern lights.
